Listen:|| Tuesday Tunage

I’ve actually been all over this track for a hot minute, but have only just come across the audio link to post!

So Craig is back – again! (Is this the 3rd comeback now?), and has teamed up with Funky House hotshot Donaeo to create this absolute banger of a remix of his new single.

Taking a sample from The Four Tops’ 1966 hit ‘Standing in the Shadows of Love’, ‘One More Lie’ will be released on March 15th and is the first single from Craig’s upcoming motown inspired album ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered.’

New Essex RnB boy McLean drops his second single on March 8th, and has been hotly tipped as one to watch for 2010 – i couldn’t agree more! Check out the video for ‘My Name’ below, followed by his equally impressive debut single ‘Broken’.

Look:|| Hot mess alert!!!!

WOW.

Amber Rose usually takes this crown, but Kelis really outdid herself at the Annual Data Awards in Los Angeles last week. Unfortunately, in all the wrong ways….

Check out the hideous ensemble she rocked up in below!

I’m not actually sure what I find most hideous?

I mean a baby-pink latex jumpsuit is never going to do one’s camel toe situation any favours, but adding gold head spikes, blonde lashes on her lower lids, 10-inch McQueen Armadillo shoes, and what can only be described as a floor-length plaited rats tail to the equation does not maketh a fashionista – and certainly won’t be bringing any ‘boys to the yard’ any time soon for the recent divorcee!

Look:|| ‘Boutique To You’

I discovered a fabulous new online store this week – so I thought I would share the love!

Based in L.A, Boutique To You stock the ‘hottest in celebrity fashions’ featuring well known, established brands including J Brand and Kova & T, as well as upcoming lines such as Free People and Whitney Eve.

And the great news is, they ship worldwide for a flat rate of $49.99 and deliver within 2–3 days, meaning you can have a slice of laid–back Cali style sent to dreary England in no time!

Below are some of my favourite picks from the site!

'Love Her Madly' skirt $146 — The zip detailing on this skirt by Charley 5.0 creates a sexy but classy 40's look and comes in Deep Blue with a contrasting waistband.

Putting the SHORT in shorts, these thigh skimming heather grey flared shorts by Fluxus are currently on sale for a mere £29.99.

These 'Luella' gladiator sandals by Cynthia Vincent for Twelve Street may be toe-crushingly high with 4.5' heel and platform wedge – but they're also an absolutely gorgeous key spring staple. Get them while you can though as these previous sell-outs will be gone in a hot second! ($396.00)

Make like you're from Malibu and slip into this sexy cropped tee by Rebel Yell, $59.00

Look:|| Armani Ad Campaign – S/S ‘10

Emporio Armani’s ad campaigns for Spring/Summer ‘10 dropped this week, and as reported in October, Posh ‘n Becks have now been replaced by Transformers hottie Megan Fox, and the supreme being that is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now I’ve got to be honest, I’m not usually a fan of the perma-tanned Portuguese winger , but these shots have led me to forget the monstrosity that was this>>>>

And instead appreciate the amazingness that follows…

Did someone say ‘boyfriend jeans’? ‘Cos I’m sold!

While Ms Fox undoubtedly looks beautiful, i can’t help but feel something’s missing in her campaign – and i don’t just mean her airbrushed tattoos…

Mr Armani however, sees it differently. “Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit. Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about a youthful attitude making her the perfect choice for the collections”.

Yes, she looks hot. But I’m just not sure she’s ‘likeable’ enough? Makes me pine for Posh and her fierceness!

Seeing in the new year…. 2010 stylee!

Happy New Year!

I was lucky enough to spend some of the festive period in the sunshine, and saw the New Year in on the island of Tenerife. We had an amazing time – seven fantastic friends, a beautiful villa, delicious food and awesome parties meant a great time was had by all. Roll on next year!

Having to fly with an infamous budget airline (RyanAir anyone?) meant that our baggage allowance (and subsequent wardrobes) were severely restricted. Although for me, this was probably a blessing in disguise considering the  last vacation i took saw me haul 27 dresses for a four-day trip…. yes i know, ridiculous – but at the time it all seemed so vital!

Anyway, i thought i would share some holiday pictures that capture the vibe, and a few items from the capsule holiday wardrobe!

Letting out my inner senorìta... Purple headband from Free People, Black Asymmetric Lurex Dress from H&M.

Black and Gold platform sandals, £15, George at Asda

Sunglasses by Tommy Hilfiger; Nautical halterneck top from Mum's closet circa 1975; Bodycon high-waisted skirt from Topshop

Me (far left) and the girls! Dress £25 from Berksha.

Twilight and Chanel – what more does a girl need?

Listen:| Jams of the weeks 4

Mario — ‘D.N.A’

I’ve had Mario’s new album D.N.A on rotation for a couple of weeks now, and I’ve gotta say that I’m totally impressed. Released back in October, it reached #9 on the Billboard charts in the US, with lead single ‘Break Up’ becoming the club jam of the fall and the 23 year old’s most successful hit since 2005 release ‘Let Me Love You’.

My (current) favourite track on the album is the Dre and Vidal produced ‘Before She Said Hi’.

Er, can we get a rewind much?!

Other standout tracks include the mellow ‘I Choose You’, and the emotional “The Hardest Moment’ where he sings “A man that ‘aint afraid to cry is a man that ‘aint afraid to die”. Although Mario does seem to suffering from a bit of a broken heart, rest assured this is no Kleenex-fest, with uptempo vibes such as Starlight and the bonus tracks ‘Stuttering’ and ‘Emergency Room’ (feat. Rihanna) lightening the mood.

Basically – you need this album in your life!

Willoe — ‘Consciousness’

As a sporadic listener to MistaJam’s nighty 1xtra show, (purely down to spending half my life in my car which means no 1xtra coverage i must add),  I’ve come to realise that I often miss out on some absolute gems, the latest being new artist Willoe.

I first heard the Birmingham based singer’s debut track ‘Consciousness’ last week and immediately fell in love with the hauntingly sweet melodies, and the way the song just seems to draw you in.

Play it loud! …Probably about 8 times in a row if you’re anything like me ;-)

Look:| Dannii has the ‘wow’ factor in Aurelio Costarella

I know I am not alone when i say that one of my personal highlights whilst watching X-Factor each week is to witness the wardrobe choices of judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.

For me, Dannii took the crown this weekend, wearing dresses by Australian designer Aurelio Costarella on both nights. She looked sexy and classy, and had that definite ‘wow’ factor.

Dannii recently revealed that she in fact styles herself for the show. “I know Cheryl has two stylists and I have none,” she told the News of the World. “I put a lot of work into it… I choose all my outfits.”

Her first choice was this floor length, clementine gown. The dramatic aysemetric sleeve looking more demure on stage (sans wind machine!)

For Sunday night’s results show she upped the glamour stakes in this short silver mini – which actually looked better on Ms Minogue herself!

Listen:| Friday night anthems!

It never ceases to amaze me just how much a song can lighten your mood.

I mean picture me earlier…  I’m stuck in some looooooong traffic, en-route home from work. It’s pitch black outside and only 4.30pm. The rain is pouring down and there’s a bunch of ‘daytime drivers’ on the road causing some serious havoc (grrr!) Add to this my realisation that I’ve accidently left my new shoes at work (an impulsive afternoon purchase when I popped out to get lunch- whoops). Well anyway, you can imagine I wasn’t the happiest girl on the planet!

But within seconds of hearing the track below pumping out of my speakers, my mood had done a full 360º and I was busting some serious car-dancing shapes in my perfectly reclined chair!

So here’s a few tracks that may lighten your mood. They make we wanna go and dance like a crazy person – and that’s exactly what I’m going to do tonight!

Scott Maurice – Leave Me Alone

I don’t actually know much about this guy, besides him being somewhat of a hottie with the most soulful of voices (oh, and that we have a mutual friend on Facebook -haha!)

LMFAO ft Lil Jon – Shots

This was our Vegas anthem!! In September i went on a Bachelorette party (holiday) to the States. We travelled to LA, San Diego, Las Vegas and NYC and basically, we had the time of our lives!

This track reminds me of cruisin’ in our Jeep and an awesome time at Tao Beach – good times!

________

Donaeo – I

Check out this 2007 release from UK Funky House success Donaeo.  Should leave you feeling pretty motivated and inspired!

Look:| Exclusive Roland Mouret

This week saw the launch of an exciting new collection by Roland Mouret, available exclusively at Net-a-Porter.com. The French designer – famed for his flattering tailoring and cult-classic dresses – has teamed up with the leading online retailer to launch the Limited Edition ‘RM by Roland Mouret Rainbow Project’.

“It’s about L.A.” says Mouret, “It’s about young girls having fun, it’s about going out and the power of bright colours.”

Listen:| Jams of the week 3

Uness ft Drake – Would You Love Me

This track was produced by the amazing talent that is Ryan Leslie, who in my (possibly bias opinion), tends to make a masterpiece out of anything he lays his hands on!

____________

J Holiday – Lose Your Love

I heard this new track from J Holiday a few weeks back and have been blasting it on repeat ever since. It features Claudette Ortiz (of City High fame) and samples the classic 80’s jam ‘Computer Love’ by Zapp and Roger. The original track is actually one of all my all-time-favourite tracks, so it’s nice to have a fresh spin on it!

____________

Backstreet Boys – She’s A Dream

Backstreet’s back! Again…  and the second release from their recent album is actually pretty good! This Is Us is the groups 7th studio album and was released on October 6th.

With T-Pain on the production credits, it seems the band couldn’t stay away from autotune. But this is a big track regardless, and it’s great to see them bringing it back with a sound that’s current and fresh!
